On a time zone map of the USA, the country should be divided into four sections not including the non-contiguous states of Alaska and Hawaii. The US is generally considered to have four different time zones including Eastern Standard Time, Central Standard Time, Mountain Standard Time and Pacific Standard Time.

Even the most accurate time zone map of the US is sometimes won't show that the time zones do not always include an entire state. This means that if you are standing in Nevada and take a few steps to the west, you could have let one time zone and entered another!
